白居易在《与元九书》中说:“感人心者,莫先乎情,莫始乎言,莫切乎声,莫深乎义。”这虽然谈的是诗,但也适用于文。宋濂自幼嗜学,推崇颜回、原宪的苦学精神,说他们是“坐守陋室,蓬蒿没户,而志意常充然,有若囊括于天地者”(《送天台陈庭学序》)。他不以穷困为苦,而从苦中自得其乐,认为“中有足乐者”。在本文中,他寓情于文,以情感人,着力表现其以刻苦求学为乐的精神,对读者产生了较强的感染力。
