张家口蔚县剪纸源于明代,蔚县剪纸以其独特的艺术风格、工艺技法和艺术特质在海内外享有极高的盛誉。2006年5月20日,剪纸艺术遗产经国务院批准列入第一批国家级非物质文化遗产名录。2009年10月,河北、辽宁、浙江、山西等14个省区市剪纸捆绑联合申报世界非物质文化遗产,“蔚县剪纸”作为“中国剪纸艺术”的重要组成部分,成功入选了联合国教科文组织非物质文化遗产名录。当前,张家口市正与北京市筹办2022年冬奥会,剪纸不仅是张家口市蔚县发展县域经济的重要支柱产业,更是传播民族传统文化、塑造城市与国家形象、弘扬社会主义核心价值观、提升群众素养等的重要载体。

On May 20, 2006, the heritage of paper-cutting art was listed by the State Council as the first list of state-level intangible cultural heritage. In October 2009, 14 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities including Hebei, Liaoning, Zhejiang and Shanxi jointly declared the world’s intangible cultural heritage by declaring the world’s intangible cultural heritage. “Yuxian paper-cut” was selected as an important part of “Chinese paper-cut art” and was successfully selected The UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. At present, Zhangjiakou City and Beijing Municipality are planning to host the 2022 Winter Olympics. Paper-cutting is not only an important pillar industry in developing county economy in Yuxian County of Zhangjiakou City, but also spreading traditional ethnic culture, shaping the image of cities and the country, promoting the socialist core values and promoting Mass literacy and other important carrier.
