三中全会以来,根据中央提出的调整、改革、整顿、提高的八字方针,地质工作把重点转到以地质-找矿为中心,按地质规律和经济规律办事,不断提高地质效果,取得了一定的成绩.但是,整个地质勘探工作,如何进一步摆脱“左”的思想影响,以调整为中心,逐步走上健康发展的道路,是目前需要很好研究探讨的问题之一. 建国三十多年来,在党和政府的领导下,地质工作得到了很大发展.通过地质战线百万职工的长期努力,在伟大祖国九百六十万平方公里的土地上,已发现各种矿点数十余万处,探明上百种矿产;探明的铁、铅、锌、钨、钼、锑、汞、煤、硫、磷、石棉、石墨、萤石、菱铁矿、稀土等占世界各探明储量的前列,铜、镍、钛也占重要位置,同时在成矿理论和勘探技术方面也有新的发展,有力地支援了我国社会主义建设.
