我省通山县富水库区的柑桔生产在近年来发展很快,现有柑桔面积已达3万亩以上。但其中约有5,000多亩桔园,分布在由侏(亻罗)纪以前古代灰黄色或青灰色片页岩类风化所形成的扁砂型石渣子土上。该土含粘粒较少而含母岩碎屑较多。在这种土壤上栽培的柑桔生长弱,结果迟,产量低。这是当前库区柑桔平衡增产的主要障碍。迅速改良这一部分土壤应是发展库区柑桔生产的主攻方向之一。 根据实地调查,此类土壤不利于柑桔生产的主要原因是保水、保肥性差。因此类土壤主要是由母岩碎屑组成,且母岩层次间,常有较大的接近垂直的裂缝,故不但本身含果树所需的营养元素特别是氮素量很低,所
