南亚植茶区域包括前英殖民地印度、锡兰。19世纪30年代初,南亚始从中国引进茶籽,发展茶业,经数十年努力,南亚茶业崛起,成为世界最重要产茶区,垄断了世界茶市,对世界茶业,尤其是中国茶业产生了极大影响。本文拟就南亚茶业的发展历程作一论述。 The South Asian tea planting area includes the former British colonies India and Ceylon. In the early 1930s, South Asia began to import tea seeds from China and develop the tea industry. After decades of efforts, the South Asian tea industry has emerged as the most important tea producing area in the world, monopolizing the world tea market, especially for the world’s tea industry. The Chinese tea industry has had a great influence. This article proposes to discuss the development of the tea industry in South Asia.
