Abstract Objective To explain how the hepatic radiofrequency ablation affects the growth of distant extrahepatic tumors through two key molecular pathways. Materials and Methods Rat studies were approved by the Animal Conservation Society and the use committee. The effect of radiofrequency ablation on distant subcutaneous implants of in situ R3230 and MATBIII breast tumors was evaluated. Experimental animals were randomly divided into standard RF ablation group, sham operation group and no treatment group. The tumor growth rate was measured from 3.5 to 7 days.
