中国人民解放军粟裕大将的胞兄粟沛,号雨农,湖南会同人,生于1903年2月,1954年在会同病故。1924年2月,粟裕向家里提出要赴常德省立第二师范求学。当时,家庭经济拮据,父母恐怕满足了二儿子,大儿子(指粟沛)也会提出同样要求,因为感到为难而优豫不决。在这种情况下,粟沛自愿放弃求学机会,在父母面前极力为弟弟说话,促成粟裕升学,并从学校走向革命。1924年冬,北伐军杨源濬部开驻会同、靖州、绥宁、通道等县。粟沛积极参加了大革命运动,并经人介绍加入了国民党,从事北伐的宣传工作。1927年,粟沛被选为会同县农协筹
