On August 27, 2013, the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM), a research project jointly conducted by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the United States Naval Experimental Office (ONR), completed the first Free Flight Conversion Test (FFTT) The purpose of the fully functional test firing of a test missile is to test the flight characteristics of LRASM-like bombs and assess the performance of the missile’s subsystems and sensors. LRASM project based on the United States AGM-158B extended range joint air-ground defense zone missiles (JASSM-ER), the design of a ship and military aircraft launched autonomous long-range anti-ship missiles. The project aims to integrate sensors and systems for missiles into a platform that will reduce ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) levels in an electronic warfare environment
