The structure of the gut flora has important implications for the development of the gut and the construction of the immune system in infants. Studies have shown that the initial infant gut flora already exists in the mother’s uterus and is influenced by modes of delivery and feeding patterns. This study provides a theoretical basis for the transmission of the flora from mother to infant from the three stages of mother’s pregnancy, childbirth and feeding. It provides a theoretical basis for the transmission mechanism of mother-infant flora and the impact of infant intestinal flora on the immune system.
