湖北省档案馆新馆是一座较为现代化的档案馆建筑。馆房大楼共13层,库房全部为无窗厚墙体建筑,3层以上有环廊,3层以下无环廊有裙房。为了了解库房温湿度状况,保证新馆按期投人使用,我馆从1988年7月开始对新库内外温湿度进行了长期测试。通过测试,我们发现库房温度较为理想,湿度较高,全年无论什么季节,库内相对湿度总是在90％左右。峻工后的库房为何湿度高!我们认为有两种可能:一是库房墙体本身的施工水分未挥发完;二是库外的湿空气向库内的渗透所致。为了找出真正的症结所在,我们对第3、5两层库房进行了密封去湿实验。经过1个月连续实验,在对所获取的数据进行了认真地分析、研究、比较后,发现有两种情况值得注意,一是第3层库房的3台去湿机每天平均出水70斤,第5层库房每天平均出水67斤,按正常情况,在墙体含水量已经基本稳定的条件下,应是越抽越少,但1个月后,每日出水量仍保持初始状态,似乎永远有抽不完的水;第二是3、5两层库房当天去湿后,
