1999年,陆贵山教授在《人民日报》上发表的一篇文章曾经引起一场重要的学术论争,文艺的价值取向、人文精神与历史精神的关系问题是那场论争涉及的核心问题。同一时期,关于人文精神危机的文化讨论也仍然余波未平。在今天看来,那场短暂的论争既反映出新时期以来以人文主义为基础的美学与文艺观念的主导地位,又反映出这种主导地位所受到的反思与挑战。今天,现实与理论的发展为我们回顾那场与“人文精神”密切相关的论争,进一步反思人文主义美学与文艺观提供了条件。这其中,最为重要的是反思以抽象人性论为基础的文艺观念,为文艺研究和文艺评论重新确立牢固的价值基点。
In 1999, an article published by Professor Lu Guishan in the People’s Daily aroused an important academic debate. The question of the relationship between the value orientation of literature and art, the humanistic spirit and the historical spirit was the core issue involved in that debate. During the same period, cultural discussions on the crisis of the humanistic spirit still remained. For the moment, that brief debate not only reflects the dominance of the humanist-based aesthetic and literary ideas since the new era, but also reflects the challenges and reflections that such dominance has received. Today, the development of reality and theory provides the conditions for us to review the controversy closely related to “Humanism ” and further reflect on the aesthetics of humanism and the concept of literature and art. Among these, the most important thing is to reflect on the concepts of literature and art based on the abstract theory of human nature and to re-establish a solid starting point for the study of literature and art and the commentary on literature and art.
