面向二十一世纪的信息时代,使社会对文献信息的需求日益增长。期刊文献以其丰富的知识内涵和迅速传递信息的独特作用倍受人们重视。据有关资料统计,科研人员获取的知识信息70%来自期刊。因此,如何开发和利用期刊资源,充分发挥期刊在教学、科研中作用,满足广大师生对期刊的需求,使期刊管理走向科学化、规范化,已成为当前中专图书馆工作者的努力方向和研究课题。下面,根据我自身的工作实践,对中专的期刊管理工作谈一点粗浅的认识。
