According to the U.S. Military Review, Volume 61, Issue 12, 1981, Pilkington P.E., a British company, has developed a novel pair of night vision glasses called Nova. This is a low cost, light weight, compact surveillance unit designed primarily for use by armored combat vehicles. This type of night vision goggles can be worn during the night if you are driving an armored vehicle, mowing, and not allowing maintenance service in bright light. It reduces costs because it uses only one light enhancement tube instead of two. The glasses are used 18mm second-generation microchannel plate enhancement tube, available in the future third-generation tube update.
