Ding Qihua made a special report titled “Optimization of Three Gorges Project” at the 35th International Hydraulics Conference (IAHR) on September 10 at the Three Gorges Project Symposium. In his special report, he elaborated on the overall optimal operation of the Three Gorges Dam and the Three Gorges Reservoir from four aspects: reservoir optimal operation, sediment optimization operation, ecological operation and ship lock optimization.
