作者对３５例老年性白内障手术的３８眼，分两组进行了部分晶体生化成份分析。第一组１６眼，术前用白内障治疗仪辅助维生素Ｃ治疗５天后行白内障囊内摘除术，将完整晶体行晶体内还原型维生素Ｃ及可溶性蛋白含量测定；另一组２２眼，术前未行任何处理，术后做同样生化分析。发现治疗组晶体内还原型维生素Ｃ含量是非治疗组的３倍，可溶性蛋白是非治疗组的２倍。从而证明此治疗方法能使药物快速进入眼内，并能迅速改善白内障晶体的代谢状态。
