工程师根据声波测井仪记录的声波资料以更高的安全系数提高钻井效率,优化完井方式。LWD声波测井仪是在上世纪90年代中期问世的,能够记录纵波资料,但不能记录所有地层的横波资料。新型LWD声波测井仪能记录以前无法得到的横波资料,工程师正在利用横波资料优化钻井作业,确定最佳钻进方向,识别具有更好完井特征的岩层。
Based on the acoustic data recorded by acoustic logging tools, engineers can improve drilling efficiency and optimize well completion with a higher safety factor. LWD sonic logging tools were introduced in the mid-1990s and can record P-wave data but can not record shear-wave data for all strata. The new LWD sonic logging tool records previously unavailable shear-wave data and engineers are using shear-wave data to optimize drilling operations, determine the best drilling direction, and identify rock formations with better completion characteristics.
