Formal beauty is also an important part of western aesthetics. In traditional Chinese art and aesthetic expressions, the relationship between form and content is generally discussed in terms of “form” and “god.” This is based on the specific expressions of Chinese traditional philosophy and life consciousness, which have distinctive features that are different from those of Western culture. This paper combs the origins and backgrounds of its origins, and briefly discusses the features of formal beauty in Chinese traditional arts.
