In recent years, the morbidity and mortality of gastrointestinal malignancies in our country have been on an upward trend, with gastric cancer and esophageal cancer at the forefront with differences in gender and geographical distribution. The pathogenesis of gastrointestinal cancer is not yet fully elucidated. Most studies suggest that abnormal expression of proto-oncogene and tumor suppressor gene is the basis of tumorigenesis. Smac and Survivin genes play key roles in the regulation of apoptosis and angiogenesis , And the occurrence of gastrointestinal cancer is closely related. This article will briefly review the relationship between Smac and Survivin genes and gastrointestinal malignancies.
