在城镇化的热潮中,全国各地多个省市提出了“镇级市”的设想,包括郑州、青岛、合肥、南京等等。而有希望升级为“镇级市”的,多是人口密集的经济强镇,浙江等地甚至已经选定一些镇开始试点。但是目前为止仍然只是一个设想,还需要具体的调研、论证。民政部的表态,显示“镇级市”不可能全面放开,但支持强镇扩权。记者从国家发改委的相关部门获悉,“撤镇设市”是否可行,在近期将会有一个明确的说法。该问题的关键主要是在于挂牌后的市会有怎样的行政级别,它拥有怎样的行政权力?不过,顶层没有表态,相关部门的工作人员对此问题都持谨慎态度。
