建筑师力图建立一所既为儿童喜爱,又体现现代建筑特征、且适于教学活动的学校。这所学校与其周围建筑保持了恰如其分的协调关系,标志着法国现代建筑的发展趋向。由于冲破了以往建筑设计的一些形式和准则,它虽然置身于城市建筑群中,却不失其本身的特点。其中最有代表性的便是该校面对克鲁瓦·圣·齐蒙街立面的中央部位,它与对面的小教堂遥相呼应。从学校的外形及所取得的效果可以看出该校的风格:沿学校的一面墙上刻有“巴黎初级学校”几个大
The architect seeks to establish a school that is loved by children and reflects modern architectural features and is suitable for teaching activities. This school has maintained a proper coordination relationship with its surrounding buildings, marking the development trend of modern French architecture. As it broke through some forms and guidelines of previous architectural designs, it was placed in the city’s architectural complex without losing its own characteristics. The most representative of these is the central part of the facade of the school facing the street of Croix-Saint-Quymont. It echoes with the opposite chapel.
