In response to the invitation of France’s Luqiao University (the highest academic institution of civil engineering in France, built in 1747, is the leading organization of the French Civil Engineering Society), the Civil Engineering Society of China dispatched six people from the Civil Engineering Science and Technology Study Group to a delegation from October 8 to 22, 1984. Japan conducted a 14-day inspection and visit in France. During the law, the delegation conducted activities according to the prestressed concrete, soil mechanics and basic engineering majors. The two members also participated in the International Reinforced Earth Conference held in Paris. Some members of the group visited the prestressed concrete works. The delegation visited and studied the residences, office buildings, space structures and high-rise buildings in the cities of Paris, Lyon, Anversen, and La Défense near Paris, the Pompidou Centre, the Fleissin company,
