Starting from June 1984, we monitored and predicted the Loess Plateau landslide in Shulazizi near Ruiluleng, Dongxiang County, Gansu Province by means of resistive strain gauges. July 27 this year under a heavy rain, resistance strain gauge abnormal changes in strain values, the technical staff rushed to the scene observed and found that the rear edge of the crack from 50-80 cm to 5 meters, the situation deteriorated immediately to the provincial People’s government emergency. Provincial People’s Government to take decisive measures, Chen Guangyi governor immediately decided to allocate 300,000 yuan, urging two village residents, township government and hospitals in time to relocate and transfer. Even in the event of a major landslide, more than 1,000 people in two villages were saved from casualties and losses. Here is the production of this resistance strain gauge tube, buried and its application in landslide monitoring and forecasting.
