2003年全国交通厅局长会议是党的十六大召开后的第一次交通厅局长会议。会议的主题是:以邓小平理论和“三个代表”重要思想为指导,贯彻落实党的十六大精神,回顾总结本届政府5年来的交通工作,研究确定21世纪头20年实现交通新的跨越式发展的奋斗目标,按照中央经济工作会议的要求,安排部署2003年交通工作的主要任务,动员全国交通系统广大干部职工,与时俱进,开拓创新,为实现交通新的跨越式发展而共同奋斗。
