Selma Scarausi looked at her babydaughter and smiled. The baby smiledback. Selma began to cry. “I love mybaby very much,” Selma thought. “Butis she really my baby?” Selma’s baby was born in June 1985at a hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil. A fewdays later Selma and the baby came homefrom the hospital. Friends and relativeswere surprised when they saw the baby.The baby didn’t look like her parents. Thebaby had dark skin and curly hair.
