2008年6月18日,北京奥运会倒计时50天前夕,奥运会乒乓球、羽毛球和举重赛事器材自上海红双喜正式启运。两天后,这些总计约300立方米的器材通过四辆超大集箱卡车,送抵北京奥运会物流中心或比赛场馆。与此同时,红双喜奥运赛场服务团队名单公布,26人分为三个团队,分别为北京奥运会乒乓球、羽毛球和举重三个项目,全面提供奥运期间的器材保障工作。按照惯例,大赛期间通常是由组委会团队而不是赞助商来保障的,但红双喜与众不同,多次的大赛赞助经验,为其培养了一支非常专业的赛事服务队伍,从赛事前期的器材设计介入,到运输、现场保障和服务,都有一套非常完善的流程和操作模式。比如2005年世乒赛,组委会团队实际上就是红双喜团队,因为他们能随时响应赛事的变化与需要。红双喜,已经远远超出了纯粹的赞助商概念。自1961
On June 18, 2008, on the eve of the 50th day of the countdown to the Beijing Olympic Games, Olympic table tennis, badminton and weightlifting equipment were officially launched from Shanghai Double Happiness.
