Styrene (ST) -divinylbenzene (DVB) copolymers are widely used in ion exchange resins and chromatographic fixtures. Because of their direct dependence on product properties, there is a need for a reliable, simple and rapid method of determining the degree of crosslinking . At present, the commonly used feed ratio in industrial production to indicate the degree of crosslinking, also used swelling method to determine, both of these two methods have some limitations, and time-consuming and cumbersome. Since pyrolysis gas chromatography is not limited by the sample morphology, results can be obtained directly and quickly without any treatment. Therefore, there are many reports on the determination of the degree of crosslinking by pyrolysis gas chromatography.
