从后殖民批判的角度来看,好莱坞影片《阿凡达》其实是一个征服异域并遭遇抵抗的故事。在这个意义上,《阿凡达》是对好莱坞科幻影片话语谱系的一种翻转和颠覆。但这种反思意识却消解于银幕内外的双重悖论之中:它不仅借助银幕外的高科技讲述了一个反高科技的故事,同时,还由高科技带来了北美之外的票房奇迹,构成了全球电影不均衡的生态结构。《阿凡达》的科技政治和生态隐喻,在一定程度上正是全球文化关系格局的一个缩影。
