雪困欧美2010年12月27日,纽约遭遇暴风雪袭击,路上积雪深达20英寸(约合50厘米),大量航班被迫取消,旅客滞留机场。席卷美国东部地区的暴风雪,已经导致美国多个州的交通大范围瘫痪,多个主要机场、铁路线和高速公路被关闭,纽约市地铁的乘客不得不在没有加热系统的列车中度过了寒冷的夜晚。纽约市中心的街道上塞满了车辆,导致清理积雪的工作完全无法开展。包括南北卡罗莱纳州的6个州宣布进入紧急状态。停机坪上的飞机被大雪掩埋,有些小型飞机甚至无法开出机库。
Snow storm Europe and the United States December 27, 2010, New York City hit a snowstorm on the road snow depth of 20 inches (about 50 cm), a large number of flights were canceled, passengers stranded at the airport. Snowstorms sweeping the eastern United States have paralyzed the traffic in many U.S. states, shutting down major airports, rail lines and highways, and passengers in the New York City Subway have had to chill in trains without heating systems night. The streets in central New York City are stuffed with cars, rendering the snow removal work completely impossible. Six states, including North and South Carolina, declared a state of emergency. Aircraft on the tarmac were buried in heavy snow and some small aircraft were not even able to go out of the hangar.
