与一大群才情横溢的行家相比,赵树理并不是一个身手不凡的创作天才,也不是一个学富资深的文学巨匠。然而,他的作品却在我国现当代文学史上占有重要的地位,领导看一种新的文学潮流,这一独特的文学现象,十分值得回味与研究。 客观地说,赵树理之所以在四十年代奇迹般地崛起并迅速地风靡于抗日根据地和解放区文坛,这是与他的艺术追求和创作自觉地与当时历史大潮的流向相吻合所致。因而研究他的艺术追求及其创作,对于当前作家如何“深入到农民中去,为农民提供更好的精神食粮,促进文学艺术的民族化和大众化。”是十分有益和必要的。
Compared with a large group of talented experts, Zhao Shuli is not an extraordinary creative genius, nor a learned literary masters. However, his works occupy an important position in the modern history of modern and contemporary Chinese literature. His leadership is looking for a new kind of literary trend. This unique literary phenomenon is worth recalling and studying. Objectively speaking, the reason why Zhao Shuli grew up miraculously in the forties and quickly gained popularity in the anti-Japanese base areas and in the literary circles of the Liberated Areas was due to the fact that his artistic pursuit and creation consciously matched with the flow of historical tide of that time. Therefore, to study his pursuit of art and his creation is very helpful and necessary for how the current writers “go deep into the peasants, provide better spiritual food for the peasants and promote the nationalization and popularization of the literature and art.”
