毛竹在移竹造林中,对母竹在留来去鞭的长度问题上历来是争议的。有的认为来鞭要留40厘米,去鞭要留70厘米;有的认为来鞭应留66厘米,去鞭应留83厘米。其他在留宿土问题上,在母竹栽植的深浅问题上也有不少争议。但是,长期以来,母竹为什么要有这样的规格,谁也没有讲清过。母竹规格等问题究竟怎样?为了弄清这些问题,我们于一九七九年十二月五日在宜兴县大贤岭林杨虬山岭工区宿舍对门的二号界对一九七五年栽植的(1—2年生),现已抽鞭产竹的15株母竹鞭蔸进行了解剖分析,现将解析的方法和结果整理如下:
