交际教学法的理论基础主要是Hymes的交际理论和Halliday的功能语言学理论。交际教学法把交际能力的培养作为外语教学的主要目标;注重学习主体;采用尝试--错误--尝试的循环过程学习和话语(discourse)教学;重视对目的语(target language)国家文化的学习。它体现了英语教学目标,是素质教育的客观要求。在使用交际教学法进行教学时,应注意正确处理好语言知识、语言能力、交际能力三者之间的关系;正确处理口语交际能力和书面语交际能力之间的关系;注意营造一种和谐、积极、平等的课堂气氛。
The theoretical basis of the communicative teaching method is mainly Hymes’ communicative theory and Halliday’s functional linguistic theory.
