骨骺干细胞又称前软骨细胞,存在于胚胎或新生动物四肢干骺端LaCroix环中的一种成体干细胞,其在体外有持续增值及定向分化的能力,是近年来研究发现的保持有干细胞特性的成体干细胞,它的分离和培养为未能找到理想种子来修复软骨缺损和退化所导致的临床一系列疾病的病人带来了希望。然而只分离出骨骺干细胞只是找到了种子来源,如何体外培养并调控骨骺干细胞使其保持生物学特性成为近年来实验研究的热点。
