1983年4月,笔者在铜鼓县收集了286块杉木人工林标准地资料,编制了林分密度管理图。由于该图应用了“疏密度”这一概念,在实际生产中大多数营林工作者觉得疏密度不易测定,它要有适合的标准表,使用不方便,因而使密度管理图的推广应用受到限制。鉴于这一问题,根据所收集标准地的112株平均木(作了解析)资料,依据林分密度与年令的关系,编制了林分密度曲线,弥补了林分密度管理图的不足,为使用者提供了方便。
