The strange light generated during the earthquake has not only been a source of horror to witnesses but has also puzzled modern scientists. At present, some geophysicists are trying to explain this. Recently, the U.S. Geological Survey’s James D. Baylee, Malcolm J. Joonsson and David A. Lockner put forward new ideas. They think: Along with the light and light of some earthquakes appearing, it may be an electrical effect due to friction along the fault.
