After the end of the Second World War, Kiev began work on rebuilding its homeland in ruins. In the early 1960s, as part of the reconstruction of the downtown area and the reconstruction of the Lower Tiek District, work began on the reconstruction of the Red Army Avenue. Due to historical limitations, the reconstruction work at the time was very unsatisfactory and there were many unsatisfactory aspects. In order to completely renovate the living environment in this area, in 1973, the planning and design competition for the entire residential area (including the Red Army Avenue, Gorky Street, and Bolzheng Street) was organized. Several major design units from Kiev were invited to participate. As a result, the Kiev architectural design institute’s plan won the first prize. The program is led by V.Sozansky
