长江后浪推前浪,世上新人换旧人。新陈代谢是不可抗拒的历史规律。1997年至2001年,我国著名莎学家孙大雨、宋清如、卞之琳、张君川、廖可兑、方平等先生先后去世。令人欣慰的是,在老一辈莎学家的培养、提携下,一大批中青年莎学学者脱颖而出,他们接连出版了一批莎学研究著作。其中的一位佼佼者,为来自巴山蜀水的李伟民先生。十年来,李伟民教授先后向中国莎学界奉献了《光荣与梦想——莎士比亚在中国》(2002)、《中国莎士比亚批评史》(2006)、《中西文化语境里的莎士比亚》
