包钢白云鄂博矿石中氟、钾、钠、稀土等元素的含量较高,给高炉冶炼带来了一系列特殊问题,风口大量破损是其中最严重的问题之一。包钢炼铁厂1959年至1977年共破损风口23335个,风口的平均寿命只有8.8天,平均每个风口出铁量为430吨。风口的大量破损造成高炉体风率高,炉况波动大,事故频繁,焦比升高等严重后果,从而使高炉经济技术指标下降,经济损失严重。为了解决风口大量破损问题,进行了大量的科研工作,1960年至1972年研究了47种不同形式、结构与材质的风口共500多个,在高炉多次进行了工业性试验,终于在1972
