1980年11月20日,钱默存先生随中国社会科学院访问团到日本早稻田大学演讲“诗可以怨”,钱先生从文学创作的观点来谈“诗可以怨”,从孔子、司马迁、刘勰、钟嵘、韩愈一直讲到明清时代的“诗可以怨”这个主张的提出、发展、变化,又辨他们对这个观点的不同理解,成为一篇著名的演讲。对于这个问题还可以从儒家的伦理政教观点来谈,我想就这个观点来谈一下。《论语·阳货》:“子曰‘小子何莫学夫诗?诗可以兴,可以观,可以群,可以怨。迩之事父,远之事君,多识于鸟兽草木之名’。”所谓从儒家的伦理政教观点来谈“诗可以怨”即结合“事父”“事君”来谈。朱熹《论语集注》“可以怨”注:“怨而不怒”。“事父”“事君”注:“人伦
