(三)自觉用“三个代表”重要思想指导自己的思想和行动十六大提出,我们要紧紧抓住本世纪头20年的重要战略机遇期,集中力量全面建设小康社会。这个宏伟目标令人振奋又十分艰巨。在实现这个目标的征程中,我们将长期面对以下三个重大课题,必须自觉用“三个代表”重要思想指导自己的思想和行动,才能解决好。这三个重大课题是:第一,要科学判断和全面把握国际形势的发展变化,正确应对世界多极化和经济全球化以及科技进步的发展趋势,妥善处理影响世界和平与发展的各种复
(III) Consciously Guiding Our Own Thoughts and Actions with the Important Thought of “Three Represents” The 16th CPC Congress proposed that we firmly grasp the important strategic period of opportunity for the first 20 years of this century and concentrate on building an overall well-to-do society. This ambitious goal is exciting and very arduous. In the process of accomplishing this goal, we will face the following three major issues for a long time and we must conscientiously use the important thinking of the 'Three Represents' to guide our own thoughts and actions in order to solve them. These three major issues are: First, we must scientifically judge and fully grasp the development and changes in the international situation, correctly handle the trends of world multipolarization and economic globalization and scientific and technological progress, and properly handle all kinds of changes that affect world peace and development
