Based on the characteristics of typhoon as well as the complicated geographic and water-depth conditions in the nearshore waters of the Zhujiang River mouth, typhoon waves from every main direction in this area and wave heights for different return periods are analysed and computed with various methods, so as to provide certain design basis for the construction of nearshore and coastal engineering works in the waters in question.
