Translational Regulation Tumor Protein (TCTP) is a multi-functional protein that is highly expressed in multicellular organisms. It plays an important role in many physiological processes of animals and plants, such as cell growth, differentiation and gene expression. This paper reports the expression of the MoTCTP gene (homologous protein gene of human TCTP) in different developmental stages of mycelium, spore and appressorium, distribution in the cell and the role in the development of Magnaporthe grisea. MoTCTP proteins are distributed in the cytoplasm, the mitochondrial outer membrane surface, and the cytoplasm around the vacuole. After knocking out the MoTCTP gene, the growth of M. grisea slowed, sporulation decreased, spore germination delayed, but the resistance to oxidative stress increased. Quantitative PCR analysis of 12 cell cycle proteins and 3 sporulation-related proteins in MoTCTP knockout mutant expression changes found that the 6 cell cycle protein and 3 sporulation related protein expression decreased 3 Increased expression of cell cycle proteins. These results indicate that MoTCTP gene plays an important role in the development and anti-stress of Magnaporthe grisea and these functions may be related to the regulation of cyclin expression.
