Objective To investigate the clinical effect of mild hypothermia on neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. Methods Sixty-two neonates with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy hospitalized from June 2013 to October 2014 were randomly divided into experimental group and control group (n = 31). The control group was given symptomatic and supportive treatment. The experimental group received selective head hypothermia within 6 hours after birth, and the clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups. Results The two groups did not give up the treatment of cases, no cases of death. Compared with the control group, the scores of humeral reflex, sucking reflex, grasping reflex, muscle tension upper limb and muscle tension of the two groups after treatment were significantly different (P <0.05). There were significant differences in DQ value and fine motor DQ between the two groups (P <0.05). Two groups of adaptive DQ value, language DQ value difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05). Conclusion Mild hypothermia treatment of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, with satisfactory results, it is worth further hospitals at all levels to promote.
