已知多烯类抗生素除抗真菌作用外还具有抗原虫的作用。对多烯抗生素敏感的原虫有滴虫、梨形鞭毛虫、利什曼原虫、锥虫、弓形体和草履虫。作者选用了致病的Entameeba histolytica(溶组织阿米巴)BH株和不致病的E.moshkoveskEp株。选用的多烯抗生素有来佛林(levorin)及其衍生物、两性霉素B、制霉菌素、七烯枝菌素(Mycoheptin)和Amphoglucamine及6个咪唑制剂。对照为emetine和灭滴灵(metronidazole)。用倍比稀释法稀释抗生素,每一抗生素试验的开始浓度
It is known that polyene antibiotics have an anti-protozoal effect in addition to antifungal effects. Trichomoniasis, Giardia lambs, Leishmania, Trypanosoma, Toxoplasma and Paramecium are susceptible to polyene antibiotics. The authors selected the pathogenic Entamoeba histolytica BH strain and the non-pathogenic E. moshkoveskEp strain. The polyene antibiotics used include levorin and its derivatives, amphotericin B, nystatin, Mycoheptin and Amphoglucamine and 6 imidazole formulations. Controls were emetine and metronidazole.
