麻风杆菌为一细胞内寄生菌,能在瘤型麻风病人的巨噬细胞内存活并繁殖,而在结核样型麻风病人的巨噬细胞内则被破坏死亡。这种差异的机理尚不明了。作者从以下三个方面进行了有关麻风巨噬细胞功能的研究:(1)应用组织化学方法测定麻风皮损中巨噬细胞溶酶体酶(选择酸性磷酸酶作为指标)的活性;(2)测定麻风病人周围血单核细胞对麻风杆菌的吞噬和溶菌作用;(3)观察蛋白质缺乏的大白鼠足垫接种麻风杆菌后的组织反应。研究的结果如
Leprosy is an intracellular parasite that survives and multiplies in the macrophages of leprosy patients and destroys and dies in the macrophages of leprosy patients with tuberculosis-type leprosy. The mechanism of this difference is not clear. The authors studied the function of leprosy macrophages from the following three aspects: (1) using histochemistry to determine the activity of macrophage lysosomal enzymes (selecting acid phosphatase as an index) in leprosy lesions; (2) Determination of leprosy blood mononuclear cells of leprosy phagocytosis and bacteriolytic effect; (3) observation of protein-deficient rat foot pad inoculated with M. leprae tissue reaction.
