Objective To investigate the distribution of abnormal blood lipid levels in male and female adults of all age groups in Guangdong province. Methods From November 2009 to November 2010, a total of 28 447 blood lipids were detected in physical examination population aged 20 years and above 20 years old in multiple cities and counties in Guangdong Province. The data were analyzed by different age groups, different genders and different dyslipidemia groups . Abnormal blood lipids in the sample set to increase the group of patients with total cholesterol A; simple triglycerides increased group B; total cholesterol and triglycerides were elevated in group C. Results There was no difference in the proportion of dyslipidemia among men and women in each age group of only 50 years old, but there were significant differences in other age groups (P = 0.000). The proportions of abnormal blood lipids in all age groups were 20 years There was no significant difference between groups A and B, group A and group C, group B and group C (P ≤0.05), and there were significant differences in the composition of abnormal blood lipids between the three groups (P = 0.000). The distribution of abnormal blood lipids in different age groups was different. Conclusions The distribution of abnormal blood lipid levels in all age groups of adult medical examination population in Guangdong Province shows significant differences with age, gender differences and the composition of abnormal blood lipids. The rates of abnormal blood lipid and mixed dyslipidemia in women after 50 years of age are significantly increased Higher than men of the same age, but also much higher than other women’s age changes, suggesting that menopausal women should pay attention to regular inspection of blood lipids, is conducive to the prevention and reduction of cardiovascular disease.
