四川省南充市是座果城,盛产柑桔。据1990年统计,全市11个县总产柑桔达8.8万吨。果农积累90多年的生产经验,有长期贮藏广柑的办法。但是,八十年代前多是地窖贮藏,容量小,占地多,操作管理麻烦,牢固性差。1982年以来,许多县属园艺场、农场和贮藏专业户,在西南农业大学李友霖教授的指导下,建造了广柑的新型贮藏窖——沟窖,克服了地窖的缺点,取得了理想的贮藏效果,每窖可贮藏广柑2.5～3万公斤。沟窖的具体设计(见图示)和建造方法如下:先从地面向下挖一条南北向的深3.5米、宽3.2米 Nanchong City, Sichuan Province is a fruit city, rich in citrus.
