在今年英国的印刷业媒体中,展开了一场争论,即是否应当给予印刷业一个新称谓,一改其长期以来的形象。这场争论并非仅仅发生在英国。 在许多情况下,有关印刷业未能向人们、特别是年轻人提供的就业机会的关注,加剧了这场争论。这种关注尤其是针对那些已与信息技术和电子通讯结为一体的印刷业部门,它们向人们传导的信息似乎是,“今天的印刷术不过是有关带有微处理器的机械罢了”。
In this year’s print media in the United Kingdom, an argument has been launched as to whether the printing industry should be given a new title and change its long-standing image. This dispute does not only occur in the United Kingdom. In many cases, the debate over the failure of the printing industry to provide employment opportunities for people, especially young people, has exacerbated this debate. This concern is especially aimed at the printing industry sectors that have become integrated with information technology and electronic communications. The message they transmit to people seems to be, “Today’s printing is nothing more than a mechanical machine with a microprocessor.”
