The trial in Tokyo is one of the largest international trials in human history. The interpretation system in Tokyo trial consists of a three-tiered translation system of translators, listeners and arbitrators. This kind of mechanism of translation and supervision has reduced translation mistakes to a certain degree, promoted court communication, and played an important role in advancing the trial process and maintaining fairness and justice. On the other hand, due to the special background of translators and listeners, the courts have been wary of them. In addition, the right of speech and the level of language are inversed. There are also some drawbacks in the courtroom interpretation system in Tokyo. Studying the translation system has important value and enlightenment to the research of World War II history and the construction of the interpretation system of contemporary international tribunals.
