No matter from the choice of translating a book or the social function of translating a book, the late Qing reformers’ translation theory and practice all play an important role. This article mainly discusses the contribution of late Qing reformers’ translation theory and practice to the history of Chinese translation and provides an important reference for people to better understand the history of Chinese translation.
