The proposed two-wire transmitter is a voltage-to-current converter that transmits the signal current on its own power line. Its output signal is current, which is transmitted as a change in supply current, the magnitude of which is the product of the input voltage e_i and the transconductance gm of the circuit. Since the floating power supply of the two-wire transmitter itself can be used as the sensor power supply (for example, the power supply of the measuring bridge), there is no need to ground the input signal, and common mode interference is avoided. When using the input signal to modulate the carrier signal, a single two-wire system can transmit many controlled signals. If the input signal source does not have its own grounding point, an isolation technology is the use of optical connectors.
